5 Layers of Protection: The Real “Jade-Like” Paint Process for Solid Wood Multi-Layer Plywood

Step 1 – Substrate Sanding
We start by sanding the raw multi-layer plywood surface to open the wood pores and remove any factory oils or debris. This ensures maximum adhesion.
Step 2 – First Primer Coat
A heavy-bodied primer is sprayed to seal the wood and fill minor surface irregularities.

Step 3 – Second Primer Coat
After drying, we spray a second primer coat. This creates a perfectly flat, uniform base—white as jade rough stone.

Step 4 – First Topcoat (Color)
The first layer of premium paint (water-based or PU, depending on order) is applied for color build.
Step 5 – Second & Third Topcoats
Two additional topcoats are sprayed consecutively, for a total of three topcoat layers sitting on top of two primer layers.

The Result:
A paint film thickness that mimics the density and depth of polished jade—smooth, water-resistant, and built to last through daily bathroom humidity.
